Luna is a dream born from the golden age of Parisian cycling posters of the 1890s, when bicycles were symbols of freedom, modernity, and possibility. Those early Art Nouveau advertisements often elevated the rider into something mythic, graceful, and almost celestial. In this painting, I leaned fully into that spirit. The result is not a historical recreation, but a contemporary interpretation that blends vintage influence with imagination. Here, the cyclist becomes something more than a rider. She becomes a force moving between earth and sky.

The composition is built around contrast and light. A deep, saturated field of midnight blues surrounds the figure, layered with visible brushwork that creates depth and atmosphere. The crescent moon glows softly in her raised hand, casting warmth against the cool expanse of stars. Her wings are painted with delicate tones of rose and white, balanced against the strong, dark geometry of the bicycle beneath her. The Earth below grounds the scene, textured with rich browns, golds, and deep ocean blues. Every brushstroke remains visible, giving the surface a tactile quality and reinforcing the energy of motion throughout the canvas.
